This five day workshop will focus on students picking a true story that they would like to write and perform. Unlike other writing and acting workshops, in Iron Skirt Stories: Teens, we will help these young women find their story, hone in on their performance and acting skills and then give them space to process their work at the end of each day.
The combination of art and group processing will allow these young women to create a safe and fun environment so that they can begin to merge their personal lives with their creative lives.
Each day will consist of:
At the end of the week there will be a performative reading of the stories the girls have written. Family and friends are all invited!
*Participating in the final performance is encouraged, but not mandatory for participation in the workshop.
